From Nightclub & Bar
As a farewell to a wet winter in Atlanta, Jack Rabbit Lounge Manager Jaynie Coffee gathered her staff to throw a “Snow School” party.
Her determination to get the Oakley eyewear company paid off when Oakley reps agreed to help host the event as long as there was another similar, non-alcohol sponsor involved.
Forum Snowboards joined up, and with the addition of an ice luge provided by Absolut vodka, the party was a well-rounded, high-profit event.
“Oakley and Forum donated attire for the staff,” Coffee says. “They brought in a box of hats and gloves and goggles. I thought that the theme fit the club really well. We had 12 employees working that night, which was a lot since we are a small space.”
Patrons got in on the action, and any attendees in costume or equipped with a past lift pass from a ski resort were granted free admission. The door charge was a modest $5, and Coffee says there were more than 100 shots sent down the ice luge at $3 apiece.
“We were doing Absolut flavored shots. We had a lemon drop, a blue kamikaze, a raspberry shot and then plain Absolut Pear shots.”
